Manchester Christmas Toy Run

Organised by The Plough Riders MCC
Supported by Hells Angels Manchester

The Plough Riders MCC got on their bikes in droves on Saturday to bring Christmas cheer to sick kiddies.

The club organised a Christmas toy run to Royal Manchester Children's Hospital at Pendlebury and found their ranks swollen by an army of wellwishers.

Over 200 bikes of all shapes and sizes with 300 riders made the journey from The Plough on Liverpool Road, Irlam through Peel Green and on to the Pendlebury Hospital. There they handed over the mountain of toys plus a cheque for £250.

Said organiser Tom Yates: "This is the second bike run we've organised and was even more successful than the one last year to Warrington."

"Everyone has been incredibly generous and I would particularly like to thank the local businesses and all the volunteers who acted as marshalls on the day."

The Plough Riders MCC meets every Thursday in The Plough and would welcome new members. Call Tom on 0161 777 9244.
